You are invited to the 7th BACH FESTIVAL GERS 2022 (July – August) in Gers department in the region of Occitania, France
Our DUO BRIKCIUS [2 Cellists – 2 Siblings] will be performing music by Czech and French composers, such as François Couperin (1668 – 1733), Joseph-Hector Fiocco (1703 – 1741), Paul Bazelaire (1886 – 1958), Leoš Janáček (1854 – 1928), Bohuslav Martinů (1890 – 1959) and Irena Kosíková.
My sister, Czech cellist and poet Anna Brikciusová will perform Solo Cello Suites by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750).

One of the highlights will be the Clavier-Übung III, sometimes referred to as the German Organ Mass, by Johann Sebastian Bach in the interpretation of organist and composer Irena Kosíková.

Final orchestra concert featuring Czech cello soloists Anna Brikciusová, František Brikcius and Atlántida Chamber Orchestra conducted by Manuel Tévar from Spain, will present Orchestral Suite No. 3 D-dur, BWV 1068 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 – 1750), French premiere of cello concerto “7 Candles” by Irena Kosíková (commissioned for the Year of Jewish Culture – 100 Years of the Jewish Museum in Prague), Simple Symphony op.4 by Benjamin Britten (1913 – 1976) and finally Concerto per 2 violoncelli g-moll, RV 531 by Antonio Vivaldi (1678 – 1741).
Other music activities are Make Music Day, BFG Online Music Courses (Cello, Organ, Chamber Music) and seasonal concerts.
This year the 7th BACH FESTIVAL GERS 2022 commemorates the 337th anniversary of the birth of Johann Sebastian Bach, the 344th anniversary of the birth of Antonio Vivaldi and the 200th anniversary of the birth of César Auguste Franck. As part of the Presidency of the Czech Republic in the Council of the EU, the Fête de la Musique and Daniel Pearl World Music Days.
